Elegant clothing; evening dress (short/long), suit or tailcoat as well as appropriate shoes.
Street shoes such as sneakers, trainers, etc. in any form are not allowed.

The Polyball is an elegant event, and guests are expected to dress appropriately. Casual clothing such as jeans, sneakers of any kind and t-shirts are strictly prohibited, and entry will be refused if the outfit is deemed unsuitable for the occasion. A specific dress code such as White Tie or Black Tie is, however, not required.

The bus lines N6 and N10 run from the stop ETH/Universitätsspital towards the main station with increased frequency. Line N6 runs every 30 minutes and line N10 every 15 minutes.

ARRIVAL BY CAR

Almost no public parking spaces are available around ETH. The underground garage in the ETH main building (HG) is not accessible to the public.

Unauthorized parked vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense.

Parking permits of ETH members for the Rämihof parking garage (ETH main building underground garage) are not valid on Saturday, 30.11. and Sunday, 01.12.!

Parking garage of the University Irchel is open from 18:00 (first hour CHF 3.50, each additional hour CHF 3.00). The Polyball shuttle bus will take you from the stop at the exit area to the ball and back again. The first departure is at 19:00. At ETH, boarding and alighting is at the tram stop in Tannenstrasse. The last departure to the parking garage is at 04:45.

 

 

 

LOST & FOUND

During the ball, lost items will be accepted at the info desks in the entrance hall of the main building. To retrieve forgotten items from the cloakroom, please contact the ETH Facility Management (Hausdienst), room HG D 61.1, during office hours after the ball.
